The Mazzif Kayaks ‘Razor’ has been tweaked for production in high density polyethylene (HDP) to produce a truly superb hard-core surf kayak. This is a no compromise machine, hard rails and razor-sharp secondary release rail. With virtually no hull flex the performance of the polyethylene Razor surf kayak is comparable with that of its composite roots ‘Revenge’.
Significant entry rocker allows for those super late, steep take-offs and the low volume ends allow for rodeo-style transitional moves.
For a small kayak there is a surprising amount of room in the Razor – 6ft paddlers should have no problem getting in and carrying capacity is around 80kgs.
Mid Rocker: This is the most requested rail. Forgiving and suited to all surfing abilities, doesn't sit too high or too low in the water so you don't float too much and don't tend to catch rails. This rail will work in both beaches and points and give good speed and turning ability, the perfect all-rounder.
Round Square Tail: Another requested tail for all round conditions.
Low Rail: When you have low rails in hollow, ‘sucky’ surf you get a highly responsive kayak. ‘Sucky’ waves are its forte. You can draw cleaner lines and snap harder in the pocket and it holds cutbacks just a little bit longer on rail. This rail allows turns really tight in the bowl where a kayak with boxy rails would struggle.
Flat Hull: Flat bottomed to give speed in all situations, this hull is designed to give a smooth ride in choppy waves. It is a good beginners kayak and good for floaters and climbing white water.
